From Year 2 pupils of dAuvergne School.
WE are writing to you after reading the front-page article in the JEP on Wednesday 11 March. We feel furious with you.
Your article said that the politicians were behaving as though they were on a ‘school playground’. It’s just not true! We think that you should come and watch us in our school playground. You will see good behaviour and no foul language or name-calling.
At d’Auvergne we play wonderful games and we are sympathetic with each other. At our school we follow the Golden Rules. Maybe the politicians should follow these too!
Our Golden Rules are:
• We listen.
• We are kind and helpful.
• We look after property.
• We work hard.
• We are gentle.
• We are honest.
We were very angry and upset that you thought playgrounds were such horrible, rude places and we think you should apologise to all the children who are at school on the Island.
La Pouquelaye,
St Helier.
