HOTELIERS and guest house owners are being urged to complete a regular survey about future bookings.
The monthly survey was introduced by Jersey Tourism 18 months ago but currently only a quarter of hotels and guest houses are completing them and sending them in.
Jersey Tourism and the Jersey Hospitality Association say that the information would help them to identify problem months and decide the marketing tactics that should be used.
JHA chief executive Gerald Fletcher (pictured) said: ‘This is such an important piece of information gathering, especially in the current economic climate, but it has to be sufficiently robust so that we can make a proper case for additional funding or general support. Without it, our case is weakened and there could be a possible loss of funds and other resources.’
