EASTER bonnets, lots of frills, grand ladies and an Easter parade.

Over 50 decorated vintage and classic cars brought Irving Berlin’s classic song to life at the Weighbridge on Monday morning and proved to be a major draw for tourists and Islanders alike.

The display, by the Jersey Old Motor Club, was part of their Easter Bonnet Run, and the choice of the venue, in front of the Royal Yacht Hotel, proved to be so popular that they are hoping to return there again.

In true Easter Monday tradition, the vehicles were decorated with spring flowers, bunnies and eggs, and Zephyr restaurant manager Claudio Abreu judged the competitions.

At 11 am the motorists left the Weighbridge and followed a route through St Saviour, St Martin, Trinity, St John, St Lawrence and finally to St Peter for lunch at the Greenhills Restaurant.
