JERSEY completed an Upton football double over their Guernsey counterparts at Springfield Stadium over the weekend.

St Paul’s beat Guernsey Northerners 2-1 on Saturday with goals by Craig Leitch and Craig Russell, the latter who was later named man-of-the-match.

And First Tower United yesterday won their third consecutive women’s Upton title following a 4-3 sudden-death penalty shoot-win against Guernsey Sylvans following a 3-3 draw after extra-time.

After goals by Jodie Botterill (two) and Louise Van der Vliet, Tower were successful from penalty spot through Michelle Bichard, Sam Cavey, Lisa McLaughlin and Van der Vliet.
