SCHOOLCHILDREN who are worried about online paedophiles can report their suspicions to a specialist agency set up to combat global child abuse.
A number of schools in the Island have links to the Think U Know website, which educates children aged between five and 16, teachers and parents on how to stay safe online.
The website was created by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre and has a button that can be pressed to report abuse.
It links directly to a specialist team of child protection officers. They monitor the e-mails and carry out inquiries on a case-by-case basis.
John Tarrant, the e-safety officer for Education, said that the button was an extra measure taken by some schools, but not all of them in Jersey.
