THREE records were broken at the Jersey Motorcycle and Light Car Club’s Liberation Day hill climb at Bouley Bay.

Guernsey’s Dale Crowsley set a new record in the rally cars (up to 1400cc) class by almost a second while the UK’s Dave Bennett set a new record in the post-historic cars 68 to 74 class by lowering the previous record of 52.54 to 51.96 sec.

Meanwhile in the Quad Unlimited class Ollie du Feu smashed his own previous record of 48.76 and is virtually making the event his own domain.

In near perfect conditions the LC Pallot/Sealey Tools-sponsored event was watched by over 1,000 spectators.

• THE biggest field of the year competes for the silverware in the Jersey Gas two-day motocross inter-insular and championship this weekend. Sorel Point in St John is the place to witness all the action as 33 riders from Guernsey have swelled entries to at least 115 for racing on Saturday and Sunday.
