LE Rocquier School launched the prom season in style this week.
More than 100 Year 11 students who will be ‘graduating’ from the secondary school next month put on their tuxedos and ball gowns for a night of glitz and glamour.
Although they began to be held in the Island only a few years ago, proms are now a firm fixture at all local secondary schools, as a way to help students celebrate the end of 11 years of compulsory education.
Le Rocquier were the first school to hold one this year, but all of the other secondaries are due to follow suit in the weeks ahead.
