Last week States Members were told that the Planning Department had settled a claim made by Trinity Holdings Ltd against the States through mediation but the figure was not disclosed.
Environment Minister Freddie Cohen confirmed to the JEP that the compensation plus legal fees cost ‘slightly less than £700,000’.
Former Health Minister Jim Perchard said that it was ‘unacceptable’ that the exact figure was not going to be released as it was a matter of public interest.
