The star-studded cycling event on Sunday attracted some of the UK’s top riders, including former Olympian and Commonwealth Games medallist Malcolm Elliott, who finished second in the Pro and Elite race, as well as a Swedish contingent from the professional circuit.
The event included riders of all ages, from JEP paper girls and boys to veteran riders, and attracted a strong and enthusiastic crowd who got into the spirit of things with countdowns to start the races and appropriately timed banging on the barriers as riders flew by in flashes of neon Lycra.
The main race of the day, for the Pro and Elite riders, was won by Yorkshireman Graham Briggs. The first Jersey rider home was Chris Spence, who placed 11th. Results will be published in the Jersey Evening Post later this week.
