They had a couple of minutes to impress possible clients and associates at the Business 2 Business speed dating networking event before moving on to the next person.
Organised by Jersey Enterprise, the businesses packed into the Starlight Room at Hotel de France for a conversation with strangers.
The event was organised as part of the new campaign Think Twice, Buy Local, which is supported by the Jersey Evening Post.
The campaign encourages Islanders to support local businesses and help stimulate the economy during tough financial times.
