Cheryl Hibbs, Monique Tait and Michelene Vezier were all honoured by the council of the RNLI back in January.

Last week, the three were invited to attend a reception at Government House, where they were presented with their awards by Guild president Valerie Ridgway.

Mrs Hibbs, who has been with the Guild for 16 years, received the Institute’s silver badge and the other two women were presented with bronze ones.

The Government House event was held last Tuesday and was attended by around 30 people, including the families of the award winners and members of the Guild.

Mrs Hibbs is responsible for ordering and selling RNLI souvenirs through the shop on the Albert Pier, at Guild events and by request at events organised by other organisations.

Mrs Tait has been a Guild member since 1992. Until 2006 she was part of a team who organised catering for events. She is now responsible for arranging cover for the organisation’s shop, which is open from Easter until Christmas.

Mrs Vezier has also been involved with the Guild for 16 years. She works in the shop and helps at outside events.
