It’s time the UK stepped in to review our system

From Brian Villette.

ACTING police chief David Warcup has said: ‘I would like to reassure the public that there are clearly laid-down and regulated practices and procedures governing the handling of information by the police, and I will be making sure that they are fully complied with.’

How can we trust anything told to us by the police when it appears they can manipulate rules and regulations to suit themselves as, in my opinion, in the case of Senator Syvret’s arrest and the search of his abode without a warrant?

It is becoming increasingly apparent that not only is our government corrupt, so is the whole of the judiciary. Maybe it is time for the UK government to step in and carry out a review from top to bottom.

It will never happen – if the British government is not interested in Zimbabwe, then Jersey is of far less import.
