The Bank of Scotland International Annual bra dash saw runners donned in exuberant fancy dress, from cowboy outfits to hula skirts, with men and women wearing bras as a fun reminder of a serious issue as they paraded through St Helier.

Event co-ordinator Vera Kenny, who was dressed as an old lady, said: ‘With the decorative bras we try to create a bit of fun and raise money at the same time.’

Prizes were awarded to the best-dressed team and Citibank’s ‘You’ve been tangoed’ crew won the £100 prize for their vibrant orange and black ensemble, which included huge wings. The £50 prize for the best-decorated bra went to Michelle Woodcock, who had kitted one out with spikes and cones.
