The collection of art and photography works was produced by Year 11 GCSE students and featured powerful and vivid images as well as strong, experimental and imaginative pieces.

Jenney Milverton, the deputy head, remarked on the quality of the work. ‘The art and photography department have had a very successful year,’ she said ‘The regional examiner stated that the work Le Rocquier students produce is exemplary and he uses it as his gold standard when comparing it with other schools all over the UK.’

Kate O’Haire, head of art at Le Rocquier, and teacher of art and photography Clare Brée were equally enthusiastic about the student’s abilities. ‘We have some amazingly talented students but we also aim to put in work from every student to emphasise the fact that we can offer success for all in this department. We are extremely proud of their achievements especially the quality of their beautiful preparation sheets,’ said Ms O’Haire.
