Although the States have refused to comment on what, if any, disciplinary sanctions the Treasury department chief officer has been given, it is fairly clear that he has not been sacked or suspended because he is still at work.
Treasury Minister Philip Ozouf began the disciplinary process after a report by the States independent spending watchdog found that by failing to fix the exchange rates for the new incinerator contract, the Treasury department could have lost millions of pounds.
Mr Black has been unavailable to comment on the disciplinary hearing. A spokesman for the Chief Minister’s department said that the issue was closed.
