THE good times returned to Havre des Pas yesterday as the Airtel-Vodafone Seaside Festival got into full swing.
Hundreds of people lined the streets and spread out on the beach in a scene reminiscent of the heyday of Jersey tourism.
Bars and cafés were alive with the sounds of people enjoying a beer and a chat with friends and the temporary traders were doing a roaring trade. Even the weather played ball, with glorious sunshine making it a day to remember.
Around the pool, families were out in force to listen to live music, swim, eat and drink. One of the event’s organisers, Anton Pirozzolo, who manages The Pier restaurant next to the pool, said that it had been well worth all the effort.
