SURELY there are many, many more taxpayers who feel outraged by the cavalier attitude of the Chief Minister, the Treasury Minister and their three (extraordinarily paid) senior civil servants.
Kill the hearing. Nobody to blame. All keep their jobs. The taxpayers will not complain.
The obvious truth is, and they virtually admit it, that they are all to blame for the totally unacceptable financial disaster when they negotiated the cost of building the very essential new incinerator.
Do you taxpayers now just roll over and say: ‘Ah well its a done deed.’ Come on Jersey taxpayers, let us tell our Government in no uncertain terms that their decision is unacceptable. Somebody (bodies) must take responsibility and go – without a golden handshake.
