Against the strongest field in the UK Alexandre was placed seventh overall. The Championship is shot over two days at 1,000,1,100 and 1,200 yards with muzzle loading rifles.
Alexandre uses an original match rifle from 1860 and came second at the 1,000 yard distance, beating several of his fellow Great Britain international team mates.
The Jerseyman travels to the USA next month to shoot in the World Championships with the Great Britain Team and his current form delights his coach, fellow Jersey Muzzle Loader and GB international, Gareth Callan.
Callan said: ‘I am just so pleased for Mike, he’s getting better and better. What’s really great is he is in the form of his life just before the world champs. He’s a real contender for some kind of medal.’
