With the conditions as challenging as ever Bouchard shot 566 ex 600 yesterday which gave him fourth place.
In Class A Marc Yates needed a steady score to maintain his position within the promotion zone that would take him into the higher class. Although scoring less than he hoped for he secured 11th place in his class and gained promotion into Class X.
He said: ‘It’s very frustrating when you think that you have conquered the wind and are getting a nice group of tens when all of a sudden, just as you fire, you miss a wind change and your shot is away in the eight ring.’
In Class C Richard Fountaine put his newly serviced rifle to good use and finished as the top Jersey shooter in the class in his Grand Aggregate just ahead of Mo Le Mottee.
In the afternoon a six-man Jersey team competed in the Astor Trophy match which was also shot concurrently with the County Sextette match with Bouchard taking the top honours in fourth and Yates ninth.
