Jason Cronin, the branch secretary of the Jersey Nursing Association, said that an open meeting would be held for members to express their views about staff retention, pay and confidence in Health.
The announcement of the meeting follows comments last week that nursing morale was at an ‘all-time low’ and that there were vacancies because of the difficulty of getting staff to come to Jersey.
Nurses want to be treated as a ‘special case’ in future pay negotiations to alleviate what they say is a crisis in recruitment and retention.
