An official opening ceremony attended by Island dignitaries was held on Friday. Chief Minister Terry Le Sueur, who cut the ribbon at the ceremony, said: ‘Tremendous differences have been made and it’s better than I ever could have imagined.’
The major changes include the doubling of retail space and the number of traders increasing from one to six. World Duty Free dominates the lounge with a large shopping area reminiscent of many major UK airports.
The bar and catering outlet have been joined together, but the seating capacity has been significantly reduced. For those who want to get away from the restaurant and bar, there is a viewing gallery upstairs.
