Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon

She completed the fourth Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon in 2.59.59 (chip time), ahead of Madelaine Clarke (3.02.48) and Sarah Davis (3.06.05).

The first man over the finishing line was Kenyan Joseph Kibunja (35), former running partner to blind man Henry Wanyoike, who ran the marathon distance with the St Helier parish relay team acting as guides.

Kibunja completed the 26.2-mile course in 2.33.27, ahead of Nick Saunders (2.46.17) and Andrew Hennessey, last year’s winner (2.47.31).

Over 320 runners completed the marathon in warm autumn sunshine, starting and finishing at the Weighbridge Square.
