Having emigrated to Spain around five years ago Cook is part of the country’s National squad from which the Olympus Madrid team is selected.
The side has been formed to give the National team more experience ahead of the next round of World Cup qualifiers in February when Spain feature in a qualifying group along with the likes of Georgia, Russia, Portugal, Romania, and Germany.
With a 46-6 loss to Connaught in their first Challenge Cup game last week several changes have been made to the side including the introduction of former Jersey RFC and Bedford rugby player Cook.
Cook has turned professional with Villajoyosa who play in Division de Honor A – the top Spanish league.
