Hampshire were convincing Division II winners at Ponds Forge in Sheffield, winning by a 44-point margin from Worcestershire to regain their top flight status at the first attempt. Tom Gallichan, Ebony Jacklin, Rebecca Le Maistre, Henry Job and Declan Job all collected valuable points in the win.
Jersey coach Nathan Jégou, who was not at the gala, said: ‘Jersey has not had many swimmers competing for Hampshire in recent years but it’s great that we provided five this time and they were successful in helping the county back into Division I.
‘With four also making their débuts they are all young and the event is obviously a good stepping stone in their swimming careers and an incentive for even younger swimmers to aspire to.’
