Hoping to improve on his overall third place in the Formula Renault 3.5 championship table, he actually slipped to fifth place after finishes of 18 and nine in the two races.
On the positive side, Walker, who is seeking a place with a Formula One team for next season, again demonstrated his raw speed in the second race, clocking the fastest lap of the race as he tore through the field from 18th position to finish ninth.
