Principle interest will no doubt centre on 19-year-old Alexz Wigg who has had a fantastic season not only winning the junior world title but also finishing third overall in the European Trials Championship.
He will be the one to watch and the favourite for the top honours in the expert class. However, he should be pushed hard by Sam Haslam, the 2006 British champion, and James Fry, the current Southern Centre champion and a two times past winner of this event.
Channel Islands’ interest in this class will be with local champion Adam Le Cheminant and Tom Scott, the Guernsey champion, with both out to test their mettle against a very strong field.
In their 40th year hosting the event the Jersey Motorcycle and Light Car Club has once again attracted a class field of over 90 riders, including 60 from the UK and eight Guernsey challengers. They will compete in four classes over the two days at a number of venues in the Island.
