The men’s ATP Challenger 50,000 euro event boasts one of the strongest draws in the competition’s history having also attracted current world No 63 Florian Mayer and Slovakia’s Karol Beck now ranked 78 but once world No 36.
Defending champion Daniel Evans, highly-rated by Andy Murray himself, returns along with fellow Brits Alex Bogdanovic and Joshua Goodall while former winner Frederik Nielsen from Denmark is also set to appear.
Tournament director Hugh Raymond said: ‘This is one of the strongest draws I’ve seen. When you consider that the top three seeds, Mayer, Beck, and Nieminen have earned $7,500,000 between them in the last four years playing tennis it is quite staggering that they are entered.
