Three young women have launched their very own institute for those ladies who want to add something more active and up-to-date to the traditional jam and Jerusalem.
St Helier Sirens will instead offer members activities such as surfing, dancing and the secrets of making sloe gin.
It is all the brainchild of Helen Cruise (33), Amanda Smith (34) and Amber Ryder-Morris (27), who decided that they wanted to devise a way of meeting new people and learning new things in the process.
