Shoppers’ delight

Dancers and carol singers brought a festive spirit to Queen Street, and even the weather helped out as temperatures plummeted and a few flakes of snow fell from the sky.

It is believed stores enjoyed one of their strongest sales of the festive period as shoppers snapped up late bargains.

The Island’s two biggest department stores – De Gruchy’s and Voisins – were both busy and long queues formed at many other stores.
