The appliance was abandoned shortly before the JEP reported that the number of fly-tipping cases had increased significantly in the Island over recent years.
There were 14,098 reports in St Helier alone last year, and dozens more across Jersey.
Despite the rise in reports, no one has been prosecuted for fly-tipping for at least 11 years.
It is understood that the most recent case was reported to the Infrastructure Department.
