Willow, Primrose and Jasper Bennett were born prematurely in February and spent months in hospital in the UK and Jersey, exceeding doctors’ expectations.

The triplets, who weighed just 1 lb 6 oz, 1 lb 5 oz and 1 lb 10 oz respectively when they were born, returned home in September and this week spent their first Christmas with their parents Daniel and Rebecca Bennett.

Mrs Bennett, who earlier this year urged pregnant women to check any medical concern no matter how small after her ordeal, said: ‘They are all thriving. They have started weaning onto solids and are rolling over. Jasper has his first two teeth. They are
so content and are always smiling and laughing. They have completely different personalities, it’s lovely to watch them interact and play together. We are all so proud of their amazing progress.’

Following their birth, a fundraising appeal raised more than £2,000 to help the family cope while the babies were in hospital in the UK.
