Dancing to the tune of Randy Newman’s You’ve Got a Friend in Me – the theme song for 1990s animation Toy Story – the team of 11 nurses are urging Islanders to ‘stay home and stay safe’ and say ‘you’ve got a friend in us’.
The short video finishes with the message: ‘Every nurse was drawn to nursing because of a desire to care, to serve or to help’.
Figures released yesterday show there are currently 21 patients with confirmed Covid-19 in the General Hospital, and a further eight in other Health Department settings.
Jersey is expected to reach its peak in early or mid May. As of Wednesday evening, seven people had died in Jersey after testing positive for Covid-19.
