THE Red Arrows have pulled out of the Guernsey Air Display due to a ‘technical problem’ with one of the jets.
However, Jersey Air Display organiser Mike Higgins said the team was ‘still on’ to take part in the local display this afternoon.
In a post on social media, the Guernsey Air Display team said: ‘Due to a technical problem with one of the jets, the Red Arrows are unable to display at this year’s Guernsey Air Display.
‘We’re so sorry, we know this will be disappointing for air display fans.’
Mr Higgins said: ‘My understanding was that they pulled out [of the Guernsey display] due to the weather but even if there is a jet issue they have a spare here,’ adding that the Red Arrows were, at the time of writing, ‘still on’.
