The Islanders, who have struggled for form this season, brought to an end a run of eight games without a win as they brushed aside the visitors with consummate ease.

Having opened up an early four-goal advantage, Jets kept their foot firmly on the throttle as they slowly squeezed the life out of a sloppy Kent side.

The success lifts Linda Andrews’ girls to seventh in the table, with a vital home clash against eighth-placed Billericay at the end of the month the next hurdle.
