The Islanders defeated Kent 2nds by two wickets on Saturday, at Beckingham, before being defeated by eight wickets in their second match on Sunday.
Jersey are in the final stages of their preparations for the World Cricket League Division 4 tournament in Malaysia, which takes place between 29 April and 6 May.
The Island squad depart on Friday for two warm-up games in Singapore, before they move on to Malaysia for the six-team ICC tournament.
Reflecting on the Kent games, Jersey coach Neil MacRae said: ‘The weekend was a really good work-out for us.
‘Kent are a very good side and to beat their 2nd team for the first time is a great achievement.
‘We were positive and Kent gave us exactly the test we wanted in both games.
‘In the first, Corne Bodenstein, Anthony Kay and Will Robertson all bowled well, with Ben Stevens turning in a classy spell [taking four wickets for 37 runs in ten overs].
‘Nat Watkins and Peter Gough gave us a good start in our reply [75 runs for the first wicket] and then Nick Ferraby and Harrison Carlyon [82-run partnership] pushed us close to winning, with a very good run chase.
‘Kent bowled really well at the start of our second game and we were four wickets down after ten overs [for 33 runs].
‘Nick Ferraby and Dom Blampied got us back in it to reach 87 runs in 20 overs [a 45-run partnership] and then Anthony Kay and Jake Dunford [46 partnership] pushed us up to 149, with Jake batting well to be unbeaten on 25.
‘Kent hit out hard in their reply to win and it was a good work-out for our bowlers, as the opposition are professional batters and they performed well on a decent batting surface.’
Jersey’s opening game in Malaysia is against Vanuatu. Matches against Denmark, Bermuda, Malaysia and Uganda follow.
