Seven Jersey Tristars travelled to north Yorkshire to compete on part of the same course as their illustrious idols, including local Leeds athlete Jonny Brownlee.

Whitewood, competing at under-13 level, produced the fastest swim and run in his category to claim second place overall.
In the TS2 girls’ race, Libby Atkinson reached the first transition ahead of her rivals after a fantastic swim.
Strong cycle and run sectors followed to gain Atkinson fifth spot overall.
Libby Hart, in the same race, used her strength in the cycle discipline to place 26th.
Four Jersey athletes competed in the TS3 category (U15) with Thomas Atkinson producing strong performances in all three disciplines to claim a magnificent third place overall.
Freddie Lucas, Sol Silvester and Charlie Hart were the other Jersey athletes in the TS3 race and despite being a year younger than many of their competitors, finished 15th, 24th and 32nd respectively.
Jack Kennedy was the sole Jersey Academy triathlete to race in Leeds, competing in the Youth Super Series – a sequence of races for the best young triathletes from around the UK.
A powerful cycle, followed by an equally strong run, resulted in a 16th place finish in a very strong field of 67.
