The Island side has a busy schedule approaching, with the Southern Counties Cup final on Liberation Day being followed by the Muratti Vase final, the Jacksons International Trophy and the Island Games replacement tournament in Ynys Mon.

The provisional squad, which could be adjusted if injuries arise, includes Ruben Mendes, who is yet to make a senior first team appearance for Jersey. Muratti stalwart Stuart André is one of 13 St Paul’s players selected, having not played for the Island since 2017.

Cassidy said: ‘With some club matches still remaining and a lot of games in a short space of time it’s important to make sure we are covered and always have a strong squad for every game.

‘The door isn’t closed to other players and if we get any injuries then I can pick from the JFA under-21s players if needed. We’re in a strong position with at least two players for each position so I’m happy with the commitment and quality of this squad.

Following the home Southern Counties tie on 9 May, against the Army FA, and an away Muratti final against Guernsey [18 May], Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland will arrive for the Jacksons International Trophy from 23-26 May. A trip to Ynys Mon will then keep the squad busy for a week, ahead of a summer friendly against an as yet unannounced Football League club.

Jersey squad: Euan van der Vliet, Harry Curtis, Jay Giles, Jonny Le Quesne, Adam Trotter, Jack Boyle, Michael Weir, Zeljko Martinovic, Craig Russell, Kieran Lester, Stuart Andre, Fraser Barlow, Jack Cannon (all St Paul’s), Danny Birrell, James Queree, Kamen Nafkha (all JTC Jersey Wanderers), Luke Campbell, Ruben Mendes, Harry Cardwell, Calvin Weir, Sol Solomon, Karl Hinds (all St Peter), George Glithero (Rozel Rovers) and Connor O’Shea (St Clement).
