Umpire James Keothavong took a ball to the head during the Australian Open match between Viktor Troicki and Nick Kyrgios.
The Serbian’s return of serve from the Australian hit Keothavong, brother of former player and Great Britain Fed Cup team captain Anne.
He was not badly hurt and even joked about the incident. Kyrgios went on to win the first round match 7-5 6-4 7-6 (7/2).

Umpire James Keothavong just took a wayward Troicki return straight in the head. “It’s not my day is it” he chuckles. No harm done

The danger is over for Keothavong as Troicki goes down 7-5 6-4 7-6 (2) to Nick Kyrgios. A potential hurdle successfully negotiated. Tsonga next
