Russell Westbrook’s 98th career triple-double lifts Thunder past Spurs

Russell Westbrook edged closer to 100 career triple-doubles as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs 104-94.

Westbrook scored 21 points, had 12 rebounds and notched his 10th assist with a minute remaining in the win, to rack up his 19th triple-double of the season and the 98th of his career.

Oklahoma City took a 52-43 lead into half-time, with Westbrook’s late assist taking the lead to 12 as the Thunder won their second game in a row.

The Memphis Grizzlies lost their 17th straight game, going down 114-80 to the Dallas Mavericks.

Memphis were outscored 31-13 in the first quarter and 25-17 in the second, with JJ Barea top-scoring for Dallas with 20 points.

James Johnson poured in 20 points as the Miami Heat overcame the Washington Wizards 129-102, while the Charlotte Hornets won for the first game in six by defeating the Phoenix Suns 122-115.

The Los Angeles Clippers outscored the Orlando Magic 26-16 in the fourth quarter as they wrapped up a 113-106 victory.
