Moeen Ali’s three-wicket burst put England in control in the opening one-day clash with Australia, restricting the tourists to 104 for five midway through their innings.
Off-spinner Moeen drew a false shot from Aaron Finch, clean bowled Shaun Marsh and then pinned captain Tim Paine into a mistake to boot.
Both Finch – via a thick edge – and Paine, with a poor reverse sweep, holed out to Mark Wood at short third man.

Adil Rashid joined the spin party too, luring the otherwise-assured Marcus Stoinis into an ill-judged attempted cut that ended up in Buttler’s gloves.
David Willey kick-started England’s five-match 50-over series by dismissing Travis Head, who edged to Jonny Bairstow at slip for five runs.
Australia had talked England into indulging in a football-style set of pre-match handshakes, as they seek to build bridges following March’s ball-tampering scandal.
