The paper reports Rice, 19, turned down a £12,000-a-week deal and the Sun says other defenders on the club’s books, like Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop, are paid more.

Aston Villa want to tie down James Chester to the club with a new contract after the Championship side secured a new deal with Jack Grealish, reports the Daily Telegraph. The 29-year-old was wanted by Stoke over the summer.
Anton Rodgers, son of Celtic manager Brendan, could sign for Falkirk following a trial, the Herald says. Rodgers, a midfielder, has formerly been on the books of Oldham and Swindon.
